Description

The Biotronix Konmed KM250 Dysphagia Treatment Device is a portable electrotherapy system developed to support swallowing rehabilitation for patients with dysphagia. Dysphagia involves difficulty with swallowing and may affect the ability to manage food or liquids safely and effectively.

The KM250 uses neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) to provide controlled electrical stimulation during swallowing rehabilitation. Its two independent channels allow therapists to target stimulation areas according to the selected treatment approach.

The device provides 3 treatment modes, including Adult Mode, Child Mode, and Intermittent Mode, as shown on the product interface. It also supports manual triggering to simulate swallowing actions, providing additional flexibility during therapy.

Treatment parameters can be customized, including pulse width, pulse rate, amplitude, and work/rest timing, allowing stimulation to be adjusted according to the patient’s rehabilitation program. The system supports an amplitude range of 0–80 mA into a 500 Ω load, pulse widths from 60–300 μs, and pulse rates from 1–80 Hz.

With its 2.8-inch TFT display, rechargeable battery, simple controls, and portable design, the KM250 is suitable for use by trained healthcare professionals in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and swallowing therapy environments.
